Fingers crossed

Ok, I know you are on tenderhooks wondering if I passed my Intermediate class lesson. Thank goodness, yes. Apparently my rapport with my students was great, they loved my lesson, it was well planned and the last-minute substitute activity worked well. Phew!
So that bit is in the bag but there's the dreaded 90min grammar lesson to demonstrate tomorrow. I still have a lot of work to do on that tonight. It's my priority. And tomorrow night my beginner lesson process will be my priority.

I'm so looking forward to spending some time with Annarita in St Brieuc on Friday. Something new to see and do and someone new to talk to. In the meantime I must keep up to date with the workload as there's still a lot to do.

For some reason I slept better last night. Rather soundly, it seems, for probably 6 hours. That's a lot better than my usual 3 hours or use of sleeping pills. Maybe I was just exhausted. My body clock is starting to reset itself for what is more normal for me. By that I mean my body has forgotten that for most of the past 3 1/2 years it has had to get up at 5.30am and go to bed early. Now I get up at 7.30 (or later on the weekends) and stay up until midnight or longer, working. That's very different for me.

I'm indulging in a bit of dark chocolate icecream while here. Eat your heart out Tip Top- your cold stuff is insipid and boring. The french dark chocolate icecream from the supermarket is so rich and velvety and has tiny flakes of chockie in it too. MMM mmmmm!

Speaking of food...the french fruit I've had here (apart from apples) is reminiscent of my childhood when food actually had a flavour. Nectarines ooze with juice and taste, strawberries zing you with their amazing sweet packages. Fabulous. The fruit doesn't always keep very long but if you eat it straight away you are rewarded with a flavour extravaganza.

Congratulations on passing your hurdle. Knew you could. I am jealous about the ice cream! You'll do the grammar justice. Work hard, as you are, and play harder, as you also are. Yeah for you and your adventure.
